Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) For environment of the indoor wireless local area network(LAN), the use of a λ/4 wave absorber with a resistive film will be expected, because the configuration is simply fabricated and is easily designed. However, it cannot be done more thinly than λ/4 long as the thickness of the spacer. For overcome this problem, we already found that the thickness of the spacer was thinned by the control of the phase in the spacer under the condition that a frequency selective surface(FSS)is inserted into the spacer theoretically and experimentally. In this study, we provide the design chart to achieve the more thin structure. The relationship between placement of the element and the impedance variation of the FSS by frequency change is examined by the finite difference time domain(FDTD)method, so that we establish concrete method for realizing the thin thickness λ/4 wave absorber.
