Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Responses of transient electromagnetic fields from a half-loop antenna to a transmission line is considered in the time domain. The antenna is close to the transmission line and driven by a step-waveform source. The current distribution in the antenna is expressed in terms of the basis functions for discrete antenna segments by using the method of moment with taking account of the boundary condition on the surface of the antenna conductor. Thus the near fields due to the antenna are evaluated resultantly. The frequency-domain voltages at the terminals of the transmission line induced by the fields are converted into time-domain voltages by utilizing the inverse fast Fourier transform (FFT). An experiment is conducted to verify the transmission line equations when a transmission line excited by external transient near fields. The coupling mechanism is discussed comparing with the measured and computed results.
