A basic study of wave absorber of polyethylene with carbon black for 76GHz band

Abstract(in English) We have engaged in designing of polymer such as dielectric loss material like EVA and LDPE, and a few kinds of carbon blacks, and also studied the effectiveness of their compounds. In this study, we design single layer wave absorbers used at 76GHz band with dielectric loss materials. As an experimental result, they show good performance at millimeter wave range. The wave absorbers by compounding LDPE with 80phr of low stracture carbon black have been confirmed to have a good correlation between the design value and measured absorption value. The thickness of the wave absorber is 0.35mm, and absorption value at 76GHz is over than 25dB.
