EMI Measuring Equipment above 1GHz : Characteristic Evaluation of Test Site

Abstract(in English) Radiated EMI measurements above 1GHz have been discussed in the CISPR(International Special Committee on Radio Interference). Free space test site is specified for the EMI measurement test site above 1 GHz. However, site attenuation measurement procedure to validate a test site is under consideration. Isotropic antenna is also preferable for the site attenuation measurement above 1GHz. In this research, we used the double-ridged wave-guide horn antenna and the wave-guide flanges as the reference transmitting antenna.After evaluating the radiation patterns of those antennas, we measured the site attenuation of some anechoic chambers using them and investigated the dependence of the antenna on the site attenuation results. We also examined the relation in site attenuation to the area of radio absorbers which were laid on the metal plane in a semi-anechoic chamber.
