Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is well recognized that the electromagnetic interference level due to electrostatic discharge(ESD)is not always proportional to the ESD voltage and also that the lower voltage ESD sometime gives the more serious damage to high-tech information equipments. For theoretically examining the phenomenon, this paper analyzes properties of the transient electromagnetic fields caused by ESD event.A new ESD model is presented using the Rompe-Weizel formula for the spark resistance. The numerical results of ESD fields are compared with the experimental data that were given by Wilson and Ma.A model experiment for indirect ESD event is also conducted for confirming the validity of the ESD modcl shown here.
