Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) For examining properties of the face-specific absorption rate(SAR)due to microwave exposure, this paper describes its dependence on head tissue structure in three kinds of head-models: an anatomically detailed head-model,realistic shaped homogeneous model and two-layered model. The finite-difference time-domain(FD- TD)method is used to compute the surface-SAR for 750 MHz and 1.5 GHz far-field exposures. The spatial patterns of the one-gram averaged surface-SAR are compared among the above head models. The discrepancies of the peak surface-SAR are also discussed. The finding obtained here suggests that in predicting the peak face- SAR,a realistic shaped homogeneous head model can be used as a head phantom.
