| Abstract(in English) | There are two kind of bit errors due to lightning surges.One is caused by the lightning arrester operation and the other caused by the transverse lightning surge between two conductor.This paper proposes a method for estimating the bit error due to the arrester operation and the transverse lightning surge.The bit errors are calculated by the estimation method.In this calculation,arrester operating voltage,the longitudinal lightning surge waveform,the longitudinal conversion loss,etc.are taken into account.This estimation method can cope with various telecommunications systems. |
