Equivalent Permittivity Analysis of Periodic Wedge-type Absorber Using Transmission Mode Approximation

Abstract(in English) Multi-layer wave absorber with wedge structure shows wide frequency characteristics.The wedge structure ha.9 to be calculated for designing multi-layer wave absorber.Equivalent permittivity has been used to calculate a wedge structure.However, periodic length of wedge structure was not considered ill an old uniform approximation.In this study,transmission mode approximation is proposed taking account ilito the periodic length of wedge structure.By this approximation,the equivalent permittivity is calculated by propagation constants which consideres periodic length of dielectric material and polarization. The difference of equivalent permttivity between both approximations are notable at higher frequency.The differece of equivalent permittivity are also shown in contour maps.
