Interference on wide-band digital communication by disturbance in 2GHz band

Abstract(in English) The influence on the Spread-Spectrum communication link by the disturbance emitted from microwave oven is investigated. The BER of SS link and the APD (Amplitude Probability Distribution) characteristics of disturbance are simultaneously measured by using our newly developed APD measuring equipment. APD characteristics of disturbance with various band width are also investigated. It is confirmed that there is a correlation between BER of SS link and APD of disturbance. Furthermore we made an attempt to estimate the BER of SS link from measured APD data of disturbance.
