Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Generally, an omnidirectional trarnsmitting antenna for TV broadcasting is actualized by means of circular array consisted of some antenna units around a tower. We think that the shortest distance from the face of tower to the front of an antenna unit is best from the point of view of scenery, easy maintenance, and so on. In this paper, it is discussed on the application of patch antenna, which is extremely low profile, for an antenna unit. A new type patch antenna, which is added sub reflectors to both ends of a ground plane just like it is bended, is proposed for individual unit. It is described the effects of sub reflectors on radiation pattern and the reduction of deviation of the pattern of a circular array consisted of four elements.
