Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes an intellgent multi-layered cellular system, in which slow-moving mobiles are served by microcells, and fast-moving mobiles by macrocells to achieve flexible and high capacity wireless communication systems. In the proposed multi-layered cellular systems, mobiles served by microcells can be allocated the wide band channel and achieve the higher-speed transmission, because the influence of the delay wave is small. In the proposed system, the ratio of the number of channels for micro and macro cellulars can be changed adaptively according to traffic condition. Computer simulation confirms that the proposed system can impove the blocking probability, without increasing the forced termination probability.
