Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We studied a sequential preambleless demodulator which consists of Automatic Frequency Control (AFC) and carrier recovery circuits using phase signals an alternative to complex signals. In AFC circuits, the Phase Offset frequency detection circuits and the Dual Loop AFC are proposed. Moreover, in carrier recovery circuits, the open loop carrier recovery with a way to hold carrier filter output is proposed. The preambleless demodulator using these techniques can demodulate the received signals without preamble signals for use in carrier recovery. The hardware size of the proposed demodulator is about 1/10 of a conventional demodulator using complex signals.
