Impedance Analysis in Balance Mode of Common Mode Choke Coil

Abstract(in English) Impedance in the balance mode was examined for the common mode choke coil of the surface mount type. It is difficult in the restriction from the performance of the transformer to measure this impedance directly. Then, impedance in various conditions was calculated by using S parameter of the common mode choke coil measured as a four-terminal pair network. In the condition to be short-circuited of the side of the load, a good agreement for the calculation value and the measurement value was seen. As for the impedance of the balance mode by which an ideal transformer was assumed, the load side short-circuit and the difference were seen in a high frequency range.
