Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Optimum receivers for Phase Shift Keying are reported in the case of additive noise. In general urban radio noises show non-Gaussian properties. Although the ordinary receiver is the optimum receiver for Gaussian noise this is not the case for non-Gaussian noise. Artificial noises (for example form car ignitions, OA machines and microwave ovens) may often be characterized by an impulsive noise of large amplitude. When impulsive noises are observed, the probability density function may show a double-exponential distribution. In this noise environment the ordinary receiver does not perform well as the optimum receiver. So, in this study we examine the improved method of signal detection by the 'median value' approach.
