| Abstract(in English) | This paper describes a prototype of a conversational English/Japanese sentence retrieval system. The system was designed according to the framework of SD-Form Semantics Model that has been developed by the authors. The database in this system consists of two types of data, the conversational situation data and the dialogue data in English and Japanese language. The retrieve key takes a SD-Form structure having Japanese-word-like concept labels as components. The system is also equipped with a word-classification lexicon in order for the system to make quicker search operations over the database. The most important aspect of this system is that it calculates semantic distance measure to make a similarity matching between the input-key and the target data in the database. |
