Abstract(in English) | This paper discusses mutual interaction and reciprocal relation between grammars and meanings, based on unique computer simulations. A natural language always changes its grammar rules andmeanings during its long-range usage. We assume that a natural language is a complex system that changes by being affected with mutual interaction among agents and the global environment around them. This paper proposes a multi-agent model that consists of agents speaking and comprehending each other by using sentences, composed by a simple symbolic grammar. We made it based on Hashimoto's "Symbolic Grammar System" model, and observed the "evolution" of the behavior of the agents and grammar complexity through genetic calculation. Next, introducing meanings into the language evolution system, semantic comprehension is integrated with the symbolic grammer system. |
