Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We are developing an emotion arousal subsystem on an intelligent agent in a pattern comprehension technique. This paper presents how to computer intensity of emotions from the agent. First we assume the process of the intensity is similar to one of perception. We propose a function of the emotional process whose overview is similar to the photo currents in retinal rods. The function is characterized by three parameters. The maximum is the most important of the three and we clarify the factor of it by analysis of narrative stories. Next we show how to compute the value of the factor. Experiments showed that emotions with the intensity arosed in the agent.
