Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Multimedia is neither a simple hype of the market nor boom manipulated by mass media. This is rather a consequence of so-to-say downsizing or networking which were triggered by digital technology's advancement. Multimedia is not a name of any independent area but inevitable outcome of informatization in social context. If we look back the computer history, the distance between computer and human is shortening time after time. Then, the interface to communicate with machines is transformed from simple text based to tactical sensory and multiple sensory. |
