Abstract(in English) The present paper deals with the Japanese English machine translation program with a simplified Algorithm. Like the popular Japanese word processor, we can enjoy the visible procedure of Japanese-English translation. The algorithm of interest is a sequential phrase by phrase translation procedure. This research is done for the purpose of introducing a CAI system for the technical English composition at our college. In the development of this program, some simplifications are, however, given in the consideration of the different aspects between Japanese and English. In addition to the design philosophy of the program and some translated illustrations, we show that this program can make technical English sentences of good quality.
