Abstract(in English) | To clarify brain mechanisms of the thinking, it is essential to make clear neuronal activities employed in various tasks which require thinking for the solution. Since monkeys are convenient experimental subjects and there is no evidence that they perform verbal thinking, it is necessary for monkeys to work with non-verbal tasks which require 1) sensory cognition such as categorization, symbolization, and sensory judgment and 2) reasoning and behavioral decision and 3) memory. Neuronal activities must be recorded from prefrontal, temporal and parietal association cortices. |
