Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Air Traffic Control systems can be classified into sub-systems such as communication, navigation, surveillance and air traffic management systems. Requirements for such sub-systems are often determined so as to satisfy a safety criterion in the safety management of airspace or route. Recently, the concept of required navigation performance (RNP) was determined and that of required communication performance (RCP) is under development. This paper first describes the concept of required system performance, then, the current activities for developing associated international standards.
