Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A safety-related system (SRS) is the subsystem which performs safety functions in order to reduce risks generated by the overall system. The present paper describes and discusses how to estimate the availability of SRS having detectable and undetectable degraded states. First of all, the relationship among detectable and undetectable faults, true demands to SRS and hazardous events are modeled using the fault-tree with priority-AND gates. The algorithm for the evaluation of the hazardous event frequency is derived. Finally, formula to estimate the availability of SRS is given.
