Abstract(in English) A hierachical fault diagnosis system is proposed for the air-conditoning system which is characterized as a large-scale and a repeated structure. The proposed system consists of upper and lower subsystems;the former is model-based and the latter is knowledge-based. The fault diagnosis experiments on a real air-conditioning system demonstrates the usefulness of the proposed system.
