Abstract(in English) | Atomic oxygen is the most abundant neutral gas constituent in the Earth's ionosphere at altitudes ranging from 200 to 700 Km. Atomic oxygen have been shown to be one of the more important environmental factors for the degradation of surface materials of the spacecraft. This paper presents the principle of the atomic oxygen monitor which measures density of oxygen atoms in low earth orbit and describes test results of atomic oxygen irradiation test on the ground. |
