Measurement of Radiation Belt Particles on ETS-VI Onboard Dosimeter

Abstract(in English) Radiation belts particles (electrons, protons and alpha particles) have been measured with a dosimeter mounted on board ETS-VI Engineering Test Satellite VI) from September 1994. The on-orbit measured electron fluxes are in good agreement with the model, however the protons and electrons energy spectra are harder than the spectra calculated by the Nassau models. Fluctuation of energetic particles flux at L=4-6 on the geomagnetic equator has been also observed. The flux reached its highest value few days after an enhancement of geomagnetic activity at night-side(sub-storm) occurred. A strong correlation between the trapped particles flux and the geomagnetic activity has been found.
