Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Since the development or the METRIC model [1], research on multi-echelon repairable-item inventory system has proceeded steadily. In this paper we extend the two-echelon repair system model [5] where several bases are supported by a single "depot" repair facility to the case of several "depot". Our approximation approach is based on the analysis for each item. The approach enables the model more flexible, so the model discussed in this paper assumes non-zero transportation times between base and depot. The principal object of this paper is to develop an approximation algorithm for calculating the steady-state characteristics of the system. In comparison with simulation results, the algorithm is accurate and computationally easy.
