Abstract(in English) Reliability of PLC-type optical splitters and transceiver modules for access networks is examined. A life test on optical splitters is performed in environments with various temperatures and humidities, and a 30-year hazard rate of less than 220 FIT is estimated for splitters operating at an ambient of 60℃40%RH. A temperature-humidity test and a temperature-humidity-bias test are performed on transceiver modules, and a filter-embedded multiplexer and optical semiconductor devices in the transceiver module are confirmed to be durable at 75℃90%RH.
