Trial Production of Automatic Sketch Generation System

Abstract(in English) The authors try to make an automatic sketch generation system by using computer for its application to the artistic field.In the system,the inner expression is made of the features,which are extracted from input image by means of the edge detection,the region segmentation and so on.The inner expression consists of the short line segments and the arcs of the circle and ellipse,as which the contours of objects are recognized.The sketch is produced as the output image generated by using the information of the inner expression.In order to emphasize the objects,the authors put the colors on the area to be emphasized in the gray image.
