Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper,a system of pattern recognition which is invariant to translation, scale and rotation is proposed. In the system,as preprocessing, translation and scale for an arbitrary pattern are normalized by using moment features.Next, the normalized pattern is represented by polar-coordinates expression. Then the pattern under rotation is normalized by inputing it to the self-formation model using recognition cells. As a result, pattern recognition invariant to translation, scale, rotation can be realized. Through computer experiments,it is shown that the system has the sufficient recognition ability.
