Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Iijima's "Theory of Pattern Recognition," is well know as a theory of multiple similarity. We have found that the decision of viewpoint and viewsight, which are important parameters to introduce a figure into pattern space, is difficult with the standard definition of figure. In order to correct this problem, a new physical quantity is proposed. This quantity is a second-order differential and is termed "figure source." Since a new physical quantity is proposed, the subject of observation must be changed. The theory must be reconstructed with figure source as its core in order to apply the similarity method. In this paper, the equation of figure source is developed and many related physical quantities are redefined.
