Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Characters on automobile glass is recognized. We propose Elastic Edge Sequence Matching method where binarization or segmentation is not used. First we seach common part of mark, and obtain locations of the common part of the mark. After that, by using the relative position from the center of the common part, we seach characters from the limited window.
