| 抄録(和) | 文字は主に細長い線分で構成されることから, 画像中に存在する文字領域は「細長い領域」を検出することにより抽出が可能と考えられる. 本論文では, まず数学モルフォロジを用いて濃淡画像における領域の幅(文字線幅)を得る方式について述べ, さらにそれに基づく文字領域抽出方式について述べる. 本方式は, 多様な背景部を持つ画像に適用可能であり背景部と文字領域が複雑に入り組むような場合にも単純な画像の場合と全く同等に処理できる. 情景画像の一例として雑誌の表紙画像を実験対象とする文字列抽出実験を行った結果, 良好な抽出結果を得ることができ提案方式の有効性が検証されている. |
| 抄録(英) | The character area which exists in the image can be extracted by detecting long and slender segment because a character is mainly composed of such segments. In this report, the method to obtain the width of the area, width of the character line, in the grayscale image using mathematical morphology is described and the character area extraction method based on it is described. This method can be applied to the images which have complicated background. The character extraction experiment on the cover image of the magazine as one example of the scene image is made, an excellent extraction result can be obtained, and the effectiveness of the proposal method is verified. |
