Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Dynamic analysys of the behaviors of blood cells and vessels is one of the most important topics in the physiology reserch field. This paper proposes a new method to measure leukocyte motions in a microvessel using spatiotemporal image analysis. We have already been developing a method of extracting leukocytes in plasma layer just inside of microvessel wall, which are relatively easy to extract. In this paper we extract especially leukocytes not just inside but anywhere of the microvessels, where there are a lot of erythrocytes overlapping the leukocytes and making its difficulty to detect them. We apply multiresolution Gabor filters to spatiotemporal image on which the leukocyte motions is expressed as an image, in order to enhance traces of the leukocyte motions, and, extract the leukocyte motions.
