Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose a method to estimate the temporal structure of a video sequence considering the contents and the intention of the author. In a video sequence, the author controls various visual and sound effects such as cut change, camera angle, telop and music in order to present his/her intention to the public. Using the correspondence between the effects and the intention, we can estimate the property of each cut, the relation between multiple cuts, and the temporal structure of the whole video sequence. We use television commercials as the target. A preliminary experiment shows the feasibility of the proposed method.
