Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we investigated further into the Japanese DRT, which we previously proposed as a subjective intelligibility test, which should give stable results with relatively untrained subjects. We conducted small-scale tests, which showed that the effect of familiarity in DRT, in which the subjects select the answer from a word pair, is significantly less compared to tests that use a four-word selection list, and conventional free-choice word intelligibility tests. The effect of training seems to play a lesser role in DRT compared to conventional free-choice tests as well. We initially tested the proposed DRT with white noise, babble, and pseudo-speech noise mixed at various levels, and found similar trends as its English counterpart.
