Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to improve a naturality of electrolarynx voices, we have proposed a new electrolarynx which can control the intonation of the voice by laryngectomees using their expiration. This device was put into practical use two years ago and some problems are pointed out by the users. First, from the view point of user friendly interface, we proposed a neck fixed type electrolarynx. Second, we investigated whether or not the laryngectomees can produce the intonation differences of two words. we measured how precisely the laryngectomees can control the expiration pressure. The relationship between the intonation difference and the ability of expiration pressure control was obtained to construct the training method according to the individual characteristics.
