Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A formant-based analysis-synthesis system was developed with the purpose of realizing a terminal analogue speech synthesizer with high-quality speech output. The analysis is conducted pitch synchronously based on the ARX model, with "X"part being the Fujisaki-Ljungqvist(FL)model of voice source waveform(representing voice source waveform as polynomials). In view of the difficulty of straight-forward methods in the ARX model analysis, a regression analysis process was introduced, where a manual assignment of initial analysis parameters was allowed. Speech synthesis can easily be done for the analysis results, making an iterative process of speech synthesis, hearing test, and parameter modification possible. Using the developed system, an improvement was achieved in /r/ sound, which had rather low quality in our previous formant speech synthesis system.
