Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The ARMA model provides an effective means for precise representation of the process of speech production. A stable and accurate estimation of the ARMA parameters from the speech signal has been shown to be possible by the SEARMA method. The authors have proposed an ARMA speech analysis synthesis system based on the SEARMA method. In the present paper, a very efficient code was proposed by a tree searched vector quantization of pole-zero parameters, and the validity of the proposed method was demonstrated. While the vector quantization requires a large amount of computational cost, the proposed B tree searched algorithm can reduce computational cost. The study also proposed distortion criterion waited on formant frequency, and examined an optimum weight coefficient.
