Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, two ideas are discussed to enhance the Jacobian Adaptation(JA)of the HMMs for noisy speech recognition. The first one is to set up multiple initial-models to extend the coverage of JA with a single initial model which assumes acoustic conditions are similar berween the training and target environments. The second one is to extend the formulation of JA for such a case that the observed speech is distorted by not only the background noise but also the channel transfer function. Experimental results are shown for speaker-dependent isolated word recognition tasks.
