| 抄録(和) | ISO/IEC MPEG-4標準の音声、楽音符号化の概要を紹介する。この仕様は1998年10月の会合で決まったもので、1992年2月に国際標準となる予定である。情報圧縮だけでなく、種々の機能を備えており、広い範囲のマルチメディア用途への柔軟な適用が期待されている。標準化の背景や概要、主な適用用途と用途に対応したプロファイル、レベル、オブジェクト、ツールについて説明する。オブジェクトは符号化アルゴリズムに対応し、音声符号化としてはHVXC、CELP、オーディオ符号化としてはAAC、TwinVQとそのスケーラブル構成などを含む。さらに合成楽音、合成音声の規定、将来のMPEG標準についても言及する。 |
| 抄録(英) | Speech and audio coding schems in ISO/IEC MPEG-4 standard are introduced. These specifications were determined in October 1998, and will be established as the international standard in February 1999. This standard is expected to be applied to various multimedia applications, since it has various functionalities as well as the data compression. The background and the applications of the standard are explained together with the definition of profile, level, objects and tools. The object corresponds to coding algorithm such as HVXC and CELP for speech coding, and AAC, TwinVQ and combined scaleable system for audio coding. In addition, specifications for synthetic speech, synthetic audio and future standardization plans are briefly mentioned. |
