A note on Formant estimation of vocal production with a vocal source model including noises

Abstract(in English) We propose a new vocal source model based on the Liljencrants-Fant model(LF model) including noises and consider the estimation problem of transfer characteristic of vocal tracts using the proposed synthesizer for 5 Japanese vowels. Moreover, we discuss how noise factors effect on acoustic characteristics of vocal tracct and glottis. We show that Total Least Squares (TLS) method is effective in the formant estimation for vowels including the noise.
