Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper presents a new text-to-speech synthesis system using the algorithm for speech parameter generation from HMMs with dymamic features. In the system, mel-cepstral coefficients are used as speech parameters, and speech analysis, training of HMMs, and speech synthesis are carried out based on mel-cepstrum consistently by using mel-cepstral analysis and mel log spectrum approximation (MLSA) filter.By using dynamic features, generated parameter sequence reflects statistical information of both static and dynamic features, and synthesized speech becomes quite smooth and natural.
