Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose an approach for estimating pitch of speech in noisy environments based on instantaneous frequency(IF). For pitch estimation, we need only periodic signal components. Besides, we do not need aperiodic components and they have bad effects on pitch estimation. First, we define an amplitude spectrum with regard to the IF, where a periodic and aperiodic components have quite different spectral shapes. Then we show a method for suppressing the aperiodic components based on the local distribution (moment) of the IF's. Next, we define an evaluation function to find pitch from the amplitude spectrum on IF, and propose a method for obtaining a continuous pitch contour using a dynamic programming.
