| 抄録(和) | 講義にチャットを導入し、講義内のコミュニケーションを促進する実験を行った。遠隔講義においてコミュニケーションは、従来型の講義以上に重要な意味を持つ。遠隔講義では、講師からすると講義の参加者の反応を探ることが格段に難しい。活発なコミュニケーションは反応を探る上で非常な助けになる上に、リアルタイムで行われる講義ならではの特徴になると期待できる。そこで遠隔ではないが従来型の講義にチャットを導入する実験を行った。学会で行われたチャットの実験を参考に、京都大学1999年度前期の講義で5回にわたって実施した。実験結果としては、予想以上にチャットが学生に負担を与える、チャットでも質問がでないなどの理由により、活発な議論が交わされるにはいたらなかった。また準備できたPCの数が十分でないなどの実験環境にも問題があったが、実験の今後につなげることのできる幾つかの知見を得ることができた。 |
| 抄録(英) | We made an experiment to encourage active communication in lectures by introducing a chat system. In distance lectures, Communication has more important means than in convertional lectures. It is very difficult for the lecturer to find responses of participants in distance lectures. Active communication helps him/her to find responses and it characterizes real-time lectures. Thus we made the experiment not in distance lectures but in convertional lectures. We referred experimental chat sessions in conferences by Rekimoto et al.and experimented five times in the lecture that held in the first term of 1999 in Kyoto Univrsity. As a result of the experiment, we could not find active communications because chatting was a heavier burden for students than our expectations. However, we obtained some useful knowledge for future experiments. |
