Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) On doing group tasks on business or research purposes, it is important to always catch the location of each member of the group. Until now many location management systems have been constracted. However, existing systems have so little flexibility that the interface or hardware is limited to paticular one and have difficulty in remote use. In this paper, we try to solve the problem by using electronic mail system. The location management system Devora which we designed and implemented can be used by cellular phone user from a remote place and has high flexibility on system configuration change. Since the command system which is used in operation by electronic mail is designed suitable to a cellular phone user, it is possible to use effectively with a few input characters. By arranging several terminals in various places, Devora is able to get the user locations flexibly. By sharing the user location information by users, we also realized several new communication methods on Devora.
