Abstract(in English) | It is required for the expert system providing a consulting service that the content of the service is automatically adapted according to the user characteristics such as the degree of understanding of the service given. In this paper a new self-adaptation technique is proposed for the production system, widely used for constructing an expert system. In this technique the sequence of the rule executions is automatically adapted based on the results of the user's past usage of the system. The feature of the technique is a mechanism constructed by a causal-network, for generating priority information of each rule of the target production system. It is shown that the mechanism produces reasonable information coincident with the judgment of an human expert in case of the network having a tree structure. |
