Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper reports our experience in developing an object-oriented framework, and applying it to the development of actual applications. First, we introduce our framework for production-scheduling applications, which consists of three loosely coupled subsystems: a schedule model, a scheduling engine, and a graphical user interface. We then show how a couple of similar applications can be configured by combining all or some of the subsystems. We also provide guidelines for designing an object-oriented framework of knowledge-intensive applications.
