Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Several concurrent computing models (eg., Actor Model) have been proposed. However, these models have only basic modeling mechanisms for concurrent computing, and do not privide us with an explicit means of expressing the collaboration among objects : what kind of roles do objects in the real world have ?; how do objects collaborate with each other?, etc. In this paper, we propose a novel computing model, Manifold Model. In the Manifold Model, several domains, which have various patterns of collaboration among objects, organically coexist and construct the whole system. As a consequence, it is easy for us to understand the system's behavior as a whole with compound eyes. In this paper, we especially aim at "coordination type collaborations", and classify them into "directions type pattern", "adjustment type pattern", and "joint type pattern". We propose a programming language Extened Produce/1 which can describe Manifold Model.
