Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Natural language processing systems are often constructed by use of logic programing languages such as Prolog. since logic programing has difficulties in computation of negation and cannot represent interrogative sentences, it may be inappropriate to make use of logic as a foundation of semantic analysis of sentences. In this paper, we adept the ET paradigm instead of the logic paradigm and propose a method for understanding negative and interrogative sentences based on referential constraints. By using referential constraints, meaning of negative and interrogative sentences can be represented and computed correctly.
