Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It becomes necessary to mount heat sink on the optical/electronic device to enhance heat dissipation from a heat generating component, with increasing power density and packaging density of optical/electronic device. In optical/electronic product design, it is very important to determine optimized design of the heat sink and select it. In this paper, we propose two optimization methods of heat sink design for optical/electronic device. The first method is applying Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD)codes and optimization codes using response surface method. The second method is applying theory of natural convection around a vertical plane.
